Cheri Wilkerson's Salsa Recipe



  • 1 large can whole tomatoes
  • 1/2 large yellow onion
  • 1/2 large bunch cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 serano pepper
  • Remove/discard the seeds from the pepper
  • Remove/discard the stems from the cilantro
  • Chop up the onion, cilantro and pepper
  • Put everything in a blender or food processor.
  • Blend everything slightly, pulsing the blender on and off, stirring as you go. Do not blend too much or it will end up like soup.
  • If you like hot salsa, leave in some of the pepper seeds.
My wife got this recipe from a friend, Cheri Wilkerson. I do not know where it came from before that, so Cheri get's the credits for it.

We have had her salsa at a few cookouts, parties and get-togethers and it is very good. I hope you will enjoy it, too.
